FAQs

Yes. Parents and caregivers play a vital role in the therapy process. Depending on the child’s needs, therapy may be active and child-focused, or it may be educational, guiding parents to better understand and support their child at home. This flexibility ensures that each family receives the most effective type of intervention. Therapeutic programs are provided as a block of intervention sessions with a start and an end date set according to the assessment outcomes.

Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI) helps children better process sensory information through structured play using specialised equipment. The SOS Approach is designed for children with feeding difficulties and gradually introduces new foods while addressing sensory and oral-motor challenges. Both approaches are evidence-based, child-centred, and delivered by therapists trained in the respective models.

SITC provides therapy for children who experience difficulties with sensory processing, including those diagnosed with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, or feeding difficulties. While we support a wide range of needs, it is desirable for children to have some ability for shared attention and to engage with therapeutic equipment, as this helps them benefit more fully from the programme. A comprehensive assessment helps determine the most appropriate type of support for each child.
